Happy Birthday Kristine
This is Kristine's sister, Robin. I was a little disappointed when I entered Kristine's blog on her brithday and there was nothing there to comemorate this important day! So, I decided to do something about it.
We are so glad that Kristine is in our lives! She has an infectious smile and a go-to/get-it-done/it will-be-all-right attitude that you can't help but adopt yourself. Se is a great example of being a friend to everyone, studying/working hard for what you want and succeeding at it all!
We love you Kristine and are glad you are here to influence our lives.

Mock Disaster
On the day before Halloween, I needed some service hours for my theater class, so I helped with a mock disaster. For those who don't know, a mock disaster is when we act like a disaster actually happened and have make-up on for injuries and such. Well, I was chosen for a slit throat, so I was dead immediately (supposedly). I was under a table for an hour waiting for someone to come and save me, but since I was dead, they just left me to find more survivors. It was fun listening to all the live people, but I definitely don't suggest being dead. The bus ride back to the HFAC was fun because of all the people's stares and questions though. :D Hope these pictures give you a scare or joy whichever you prefer!
A group of us went to the Salt Lake Temple to do baptisms for the dead and it was AWESOME!!!! The temple is sooo beautiful and big!!! I can't describe it more than that. I took the two pictures below, but I didn't get any more pictures with people in them because my camera was being silly and stopped working. I just wanted to show off my sweet photography skills, so here you are! :D
Food!!!!
I never made Lasagna or German Pancakes on my own before, and I was starving for them (on separate nights)! They turned out sooo good!!!! I brought over the leftover lasagna one time for this pot luck at a friend's apartment and I was told I made "a MEAN lasagna" (quoted from a boy). I am super happy that I don't burn everything I touch! (even though I would still eat it, but it would taste better not burned)
I Almost Killed My Teacher!
In my physical science class, we had an experiment to show that force moves equally throughout an object or something like that. So my professor asked for a volunteer and of course I volunteered. I learn best with my hands or visually, so I volunteer for everything. Well, he laid down on a board of nails (underneath the table you can see them) and told me to give him a big iron board. I gently gave it to him and then he told me to grab the hammer and hit him on the board. I was scared out of my pants!!!! When I grabbed the hammer, he said that he never tried this before and hoped that it worked. If he was trying to give me words of comfort, those weren't the right words. I was so afraid that my first real semester at BYU was going to be memorable by me going to jail for murdering my professor. I wasn't too excited. So when he was ready, I barely tapped him and ran away! It worked to the extent that he didn't get crushed, but I will never volunteer for anything until I know fully what I'm doing beforehand!!!!
FHE Dessert Night
For FHE, we had to make a dessert that all the ingredients cost less than $10 and do it all in less than an hour. We split up into three groups and were off! So my group made this extravagant dessert with pretty much every dessert category you can think of. Bannanas, strawberries, chocolate syrup, brownies, Twinkies, you name it! It looked freakin' good when we were finished! I love my FHE family!!!

Fall Fest
To introduce an activity, "Fall Fest", there was a bunch of people passing out t-shirts to students who were willing to hold still in Brigham Square for 5 minutes. So one of my best friends, Cecilly on the left, and her friend, Michelle in the center, decided to do this together. Michelle had my camera and pretended to take a picture of Cec and me. It was sooo funny! There were about 40 of us in Brigham Square and then we all stopped at 12:25. When everyone stopped, I heard a lot of people say, "Whoa, what's going on?" or something to that effect. It was a lot of fun! We did it again at 2:55 during class break and again, it was sooo awesome! I tripped over Cecilly the second time for the freeze.
Doin' Laundry
At the beginning of the semester, Kaitlyn and I went to do our laundry. On the way back, we got a bit...distracted. My housing used to be a family housing, and there are these mini-playgrounds. Well, we got in our laundry baskets and slid down!!! It was so scary at first because we didn't know how fast we would go or if we would even survive! But it was sooo much fun!!!

Chasity Line
I have always heard about the chasity line, but it's hard to distinguish in our apartment. So we made our own Chasity Line! If you don't know what a chasity line is, it's an imaginary line that the opposite gender can't pass running from the bathroom and the living room. It's awesome! We don't always have guys over, but it's nice to know that every one in my apartment agrees to this rule! :D
BURN!!!
On Labor Day, these guys offered to make us breakfast, and they provided the food. So of course, Kaitlyn and I went over! Well, afterwards we helped clean up because we felt like we should do something. I was playing with a spatula because it had a weird material for a spatula. The guy who owned it said that this spatula can withstand up to 4000 degrees or in other words just a very large temperature. So of course I had to test it out.
So I ventured out a little more by sticking it in the flame.

It then caught on fire! I tried to blow it out, but it wouldn't go out! So I put it in water and it went out, thank goodness! I cleaned it up because I felt so bad that it actually caught on fire! But no worries! It looked as good as new after I was done with it. :D Yet, I don't think I'll ever try that again with anything!
