Last Day with the Roomies

These are my roomies for summer. Starting on the left: Hillary, me, and Priscilla. We had many adventures our first summer of college together. Definitely wouldn't trade these roommates for any other first roommates. They taught me a lot, and I hope I did the same for them.

Dancing in the Rain

After finals were over and I was packing up to move into my new apartment, it started to rain. It wasn't just any rainstorm either. It poured!!! I wanted to go play in it sooo bad!!! No one wanted to come with me so I decided to go out by myself. The rain was soo warm and wonderful!! I just had to have my roommates take a picture of this memory. I love the rain!!!

Recycle Papers

Call me a nerd, but I was so stoked to recycle these papers. I had carried them around for a month because of two papers I had to do research for. I was so happy when I finally was able to get rid of them!!!

Roommate Rice

One of my roommates made rice one time. Well I didn't want to be her mother, so I just left the rice on the stove with the top on where she left it. One week later I took this picture. I figured out that these moments only happen in college. By the way, that white stuff isn't snow (aka mold).

Bad Day Cookies

I had my first really bad day at college. I failed my first exam ever and nothing seemed to go right. One of my best friends, Cecilly, showed up unexpectedly at my apartment and had a note, cookies, and a piece of bread (this is our college comfort food since we can't afford chocolate :D). This just made my day, so here are the cookies she gave me. In case if you can't figure out what they are, there is a smiley face, my initials, a rainbow and a heart (there's a piece of bread under the cookies).

Third week of college

Right by the library there are these granite blocks with grass on top with some nice trees. I decided to go there for a hard core study session. Well when I got on top of the grass, it was wet. So I headed for another study spot. I got to the edge of the block and let's just say wet flip flops and granite do not mix. I biffed/caught myself on the way down. This is the result of my second big biff of college. I've had other biffs and hits, but nothing worth taking pictures for like this beauty.

Bike Biff

On my second week of college, I was riding my bike to devotional. Just took my normal route and saw a truck sitting on the side of the road right in the middle of the bike lane. I thought, "No problem. I'll just get on the sidewalk." Mistake. As I was going up a driveway to get on the sidewalk, my tire didn't quite make it past the two inch curb between the road and driveway. Yeah, biffed it hard!!! I just sat there a second, laughing at how funny that must have looked, wished someone got it on camera, got up and headed to devotional. I took these pics a few weeks later because I just got busy with college and knew that I needed to get a picture of my battle wounds before they healed (I won by the way. The sidewalk looks really bad, but that might have been before I fell. We won't mention that). I still have some lovely scars from it, but I'll always remember my first few weeks of college now.
